Our rigid district heating pipe PREMANT combines excellent properties with high versatility. Every district heating project has its own challenges – and PREMANT can be perfectly adapted to them. Thanks to its exceptional adaptability, we have trademarked the name of this pipe system. PREMANT transports district heating and industrial fluids safely, offers first-class thermal insulation, and uncompromisingly adjusts to specific route conditions and project specifications. Whether above ground or underground, with or without a trench – the PREMANT district heating pipe makes it possible. Our pipe system thus contributes to sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply by supporting the expansion of district and local heating networks.
But the PREMANT district heating pipe can do even more: in addition to district heating, it is also ideal for industrial applications. It reliably, energy-efficiently and durably transports hot water, domestic hot water, condensates and even chemical fluids safely to their destination.
Composite design for maximum durability
The outer plastic casing pipe made of HDPE ensures exceptional robustness and corrosion resistance. The three main components – carrier pipe, insulation and casing pipe – form a solid unit, which is why PREMANT belongs to the family of composite pipes. This design provides optimal protection against moisture ingress and significantly increases the service life of the PREMANT district heating pipe compared to non-composite systems.
A proven system that has been an industry standard for decades – for efficient and safe energy and heat supply.
The PREMANT pipe system is available in two designs. Depending on the application, with one carrier pipe (PREMANT UNO) or two carrier pipes (PREMANT DUO).
PREMANT UNO is designed for operating temperatures up to 144 °C and pressures up to 25 bar*. It offers a wide range of sizes from DN 20 to DN 1000 and can be optimally configured to match flow rate and flow velocity.
PREMANT DUO is specially designed for applications with two parallel media flows. It withstands temperatures up to 130 °C and pressures up to 25 bar*. The available size range extends from DN 20 to DN 250.
Materials and thermal insulation
As standard, we manufacture the carrier pipe from steel – welded, seamless or galvanized. Alternatively, a version with a stainless steel carrier pipe is possible. Our PUR thermal insulation impresses with outstanding energy-saving potential (λ50 = 0.027 W/mK). This applies to both pentane- and CO₂-blown rigid PUR foam. The PREMANT district heating pipe achieves a service life of 30 years at a continuous operating temperature of 144 °C.
Three insulation thicknesses are available to adapt the insulation to project-specific requirements. For special high-temperature applications, alternative foam systems for higher temperatures can also be calculated and offered on a project basis
Tailored system components for individual requirements
Thanks to modern production facilities, we reliably and quickly implement even the most demanding customer requests. Our pipe assemblies are available in lengths of 6, 12 or 16 metres.
Additionally, we can optimally adapt the PREMANT district heating pipe to the route alignment by custom pre-bending. For our fittings system components such as bends and T-pieces, we offer tailored solutions to optimally meet project requirements.
On request, we manufacture special lengths, angles and wall thicknesses to flexibly accommodate obstacles or changed conditions on site and to ensure static requirements.
Intelligent leak monitoring and detection for maximum safety
To ensure maximum operational safety, PREMANT district heating pipes can be equipped with modern leak monitoring and detection systems. Our customers can choose between Brandes, Nordic/EMS or other compatible systems. The electronic monitoring cores are firmly integrated into the insulation layer and report moisture ingress as well as insulation faults to the respective leak monitoring system. This allows potential damage to be detected and avoided early.
BRUGG Pipes stands for the highest product quality and transparent production and testing processes. Our pipe solutions are developed, designed and manufactured according to the relevant standards EN 253, EN 448, EN 488 and EN 489. As a result, the PREMANT district heating pipe is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. This guarantees that we test our pipes in all essential areas such as tightness, radiation penetration and pore freedom through extensive safety checks.
Our quality features:
✔ Tested tightness, pore freedom and radiation penetration
✔ High-quality thermal insulation with selectable insulation thickness
✔ Wide nominal size range from DN 20 to DN 1000
✔ Flexibility in the selection and quality of the steel carrier pipes
✔ Customisable pipe lengths, pre-bent pipe components and tailor-made special fittings
✔ Alternative moisture monitoring systems for maximum safety
Efficient prefabrication for smooth installation
The assemblies of the PREMANT district heating pipes as well as all associated fittings – including bends, T-pieces, ball valves for venting and fixed points – are precisely prefabricated at the factory. Of course, all components comply with current standards as well as individual project requirements.
Thanks to project-related prefabrication, complex on-site manufacturing is completely eliminated. The modular system enables easy planning and particularly efficient installation. The connection of all components is made on site by circumferential welds, which are then additionally insulated with connection sleeves. Already in the planning phase, we support our customers with our system experience for optimal implementation.
Safe installation by certified specialist companies
Our products – especially the PREMANT district heating pipe – should only be installed by certified installation companies. Our trained installation specialists, together with qualified specialist companies, are available for professional installation.
Innovative coupling technology for maximum safety
The connection of the pipes is one of the most sensitive points of a district heating system – therefore, flawless secondary insulation is crucial for high operational safety. With our patented INDUCON electrofusion method, we set new standards in coupling technology. Thanks to the homogeneous welding with the outer pipe, a force- and form-fitting secondary insulation is created that guarantees absolute tightness and stability.
Special designs or custom parts – we manufacture tailor-made solutions for your individual requirements. Thanks to our modern production facilities, this is done not only precisely but also extremely quickly.
Just send us your concrete inquiry! In addition to the production, testing and installation of our assemblies, project-specific planning is also part of our service spectrum, including:
✔ Feasibility assessment of route plans
✔ Check of pipe statics from order-ready plans
✔ Support with problems during the construction phase regarding statics or unforeseen obstacles
✔ Advice on the selection of systems, components and special fittings
✔ Advice on mixed projects with flexible and rigid pipe networks
