In Solingen, Germany, a district heating pipe suddenly failed – a challenge for the technical services department: a new heat connection had to be created quickly and safely under existing buildings, on a slope and with limited construction space. While mobile heating systems ensured the supply, planning began for a solution that was flexible, robust and efficient at the same time.
In collaboration with the Gertec planning office and Rohrleitungsbau Niederrhein, a combination of BRUGG Pipes pipe systems was used: FLEXWELL-FHK for the main line, CASAFLEX for the house connection and PREMANT for additional sections. The new pipe was laid using a two-part flush drilling method – ideal for confined and sensitive areas.
BRUGG Pipes took care of the technical planning, construction coordination and complete installation of the FLEXWELL-FHK.
Thanks to this precise planning, the right pipe systems and close cooperation between all parties involved, the heat supply in Solingen was restored quickly, permanently and reliably.
