District heating for Vaduz Castle - laid by helicopter

BRUGG Pipes has successfully laid a 300 metre long pipeline to supply the castle grounds in Vaduz with sustainable district heating. The route ran over a steep slope with a height difference of more than 100 metres.

Our FLEXWELL-FHK pipe system was used for the middle section of 120 metres, as the confined space did not allow for expansion joints.

The highlight of the project: the district heating pipeline was laid precisely into the steep forest terrain with the help of a helicopter and fixed to anchoring points anchored in the rock.

In future, the castle grounds will be supplied with district heating by VfA Buchs.

This project demonstrates once again that BRUGG Pipes can realise sustainable supply solutions even under the most difficult conditions with well thought-out technology and customised planning.
