BRUGG Pipes successfully installed a 300-metre-long district heating pipe to supply the grounds of Vaduz Castle. The route crossed a steep hillside with an elevation difference of more than 100 metres.
Our FLEXWELL-FHK pipe system was used for the middle section of 120 metres, as the confined space did not allow for expansion joints.
The highlight of the project: the district heating pipeline was laid precisely into the steep forest terrain with the help of a helicopter and fixed to anchoring points anchored in the rock.
In future, the castle grounds will be supplied with district heating by VfA Buchs.
This project demonstrates once again that BRUGG Pipes can realise sustainable supply solutions even under the most difficult conditions with well thought-out technology and customised planning.
