Fast installation, reduced installation effort and reliable operation: for a new district heating project in Haremosen, Bagsværd, Denmark, M.J. Eriksson chose the CALPEX ULTRA pipe system from BRUGG Pipes.
Around 400 metres of DUO pipes in dimensions DN32 to DN50 were installed in straight 12-metre lengths. In addition, ten 100-metre coils of CALPEX ULTRA DN20 to DN25 were installed for the house connections. All pipe connections were made using press fittings.
The flexible plastic-aluminium composite pipe system meets the high pressure and temperature resistance requirements of district heating networks. At the same time, its simple and fast installation supports the cost-effective connection of small and medium-sized residential areas to district heating.
In addition to supplying the pipe system, BRUGG Pipes supported the implementation during the first phase of the project with training, technical instruction and ongoing support directly on site. The project was successfully completed within just two months – from March to April 2026.
